The VZ-20-350 air tanker was designed at Zhukovsky Machine-Building Plant on the ZIL-157 chassis. It is designed for refuelling pneumatic systems, landing gear shock absorber struts and aircraft wheels pneumatics by bypass method.

A closed all-metal body with dimensions of 3300x1900x775 mm is installed on the chassis of the base vehicle. Inside the body there are 20 cylinders with capacity of 40 litres each, 2 air dryers with ceramic filters, pipelines, shut-off valves. Air (or nitrogen) in cylinders is under pressure of 350 kgf/cm2. The equipment is accessed through 7 doors. Currently produced on ZIL-433422 and Ural-43206 chassis.
